Hi everyone, so I am really frustrated about starting my resume with no professional experiences. I only have experience from school. However, I am not sure what to include, and what not to include. For example, do I need to include the skills that I have been taught such as IV insertion? I thought that would be way to detail... i know there is a great link here about how to write a resume, but it does not say anything about starting one with just student clinical experience. Could somebody give me an example of what I should do? thank you!!!!

I am a recent new grad and when I did my resume I just listed all of my clinical rotations with the dates and hospitals I did them at.
I had my objective section, education, licenses and certifications, clinical experience, related experience (where I listed my externship and work as a tech) and then honors and activities section.
I tried to just keep my resume to 1 page and then add a cover letter that gave some more information about my specific experience and interests.
I don't know if that will help at all but hopefully it can be a starting point. There are also some good websites you could use if you search for "nursing student resume".
Best of Luck!
