Hey,
I want to apply for a Unit Secretary position in the hospital while I continue to work on my pre-reqs but I don't have any experience in the medical field. I do have 15+ years of administrative experience. does most hospitals require you to have some experience in the medical industry? I did work as a home health aid about 20 years in New York
What can I do to increase my chances of getting considered? Any suggestions on how I can address this concern on my cover letter. Should I include my home health aid work on my resume. Should I mention I am currently taking classes to apply for a nursing program.
Am I overthinking this

Did you ever get any advice on your question? I am in the exact same boat as you were and would love to hear your thoughts.
Hi,
No, I never did get a response. Actually I forgot I posted this. Anyway I decided to not even try. I did a little research and the starting pay is way below what I make now. Besides, the more I thought about it I decided to hang on where I am until I can make the transition to RN. The way the economy is, the last thing I need, is to change jobs and then get laid off. What about you? What are you currently doing
