The only model I can kind of use without a mountain of books is RLT, and that is only because most of the wards I have been on use it, rather than Orem's, (I only need one book)
My assignment for this module though is to critique an assessment and care plan written by my mentor, can you imagine... would it be wrong to try and wait till my CAP document is signed off before critiquing thier work??
My CAP document, is my Continuos Assessment of Practice document, and has all the learning outcome I have to achieve per placement in it as well as any clincial skills, so that my mentor can rate me, onhow well I am doing.
Basicaly it is a big folder I have to lug to placement and pester my mentor into looking at, and take hours for my to fill in as each learningout come needs evidence, research and an example of use on placement.
is that any clearer?

Yeah!!
Sat here doing a happy dance!!, I just got the email confirmation of my results for writing a care plan using Orem's. I know it doesn't sound very hard, but it was a 'here are four blank pieces of paper' job.
And I have never used Orem's model before, and the scenario was a cardiac pt, and we haven't learn the pathopysiology yet, and I have never been on a cardiac ward.
So I am really happy:)
and the best part is that the next scenario is a Stroke pt using RLT:roll and I am on a stroke rehab ward using RLT!!!
