Question: If a doctor has the following restriction: "stand/walk/sit no more than 40 cumulative minutes per hour" - then are you supposed to be laying down for the 20 minutes? The employee has a lumbar strain as a diagnosis.

I would ask for clarification. Do you use a true Occupational Health physician? I know when I send employees to urgent care or the ER they write for some crazy restrictions then I get the Occupational Health physician to see and rewrite restrictions.
