Respitory Therapy Schools

Published

Hi --- I am scheduled to start this fall for my LVN.....but seriously thinking of other options at this point.

My biggest fear is a needlestick....honestly it scares me to death. So i have thought of this option above.

Has anyone gone this route too???

Thanks:idea:

To be honest with you, my husband wanted to get into the medical field but really did not want to do nursing so he chose Respiratory. He just graduated in MAY and already has a job starting at just about the same amout, if not more than new nurses do. You can also go for a certified RT which pays a little less then Registered Therapists. Probably wouldn't hurt to look into following an RT around for a day.

I just read in the paper that there is a shortage in this field.I was thinking of doing the same thing being that it is going to take so long for me to get into the l.v.n program. But I was thinking you still needed to have the same type of nursing skills,I didn't know it was another type of training. If so and it's quicker and the money is about the same I may really look into it.As long as iam helping people and can be able to provide for my family iam fine.

I am thinking of going to schoolto become a rt, b/c i'm interested in it. However, nursing is my 1st love. Do you think its possible to get an associates in resp. therapy & then a bachelors in nursing,or do you think its better to just go the adn route?
