I'm looking for a good reference book regarding hospice medications. I'm a long time LTC nurse and new to hospice. I need a better understanding of starting dosages (morphine, atropine, etc) & appropriate titrations.
By the way, I'm loving this hospice job & wondering why it took me so long to escape LTC. Feeling like I've got the best of both worlds. In & out of ltc's all day caring for my lil' old people I love, but not a part of the drama & politics.

We have a similar thread going right now and the reality is that there's nothing palliative-specific out there. Just get used to way higher doses than you're comfortable with - and you'll get over that fast.
Welcome!
In fact, it has the exact title as your and is one thread beneath this.

Well dang...that thread didn't pop up when I did a search first. Thanks for pointing it out.
