Researching a grad school

Published

I am trying to find info on FNP schools experience requirments, length of program, cost, quality reviews of education provided, any suggestions of resources or reccomendations for schools? if possible I need to stay within 400 miles or so of north mississippi due to eldelry parents

You are going to have to spend some time at the computer researching. It's time intensive but not too difficult. Google all the schools in your geographic 400 mile radius and go to their sites directly. This is the only way to get accurate information. Then you have the contact numbers to talk to the program directors directly. Then you can Google a school review for each one and see what the students have written about the programs.

This is how I find out the information for all of the schools I have researched. Never rely on someone else when you can get first hand information.

Good luck.

Check out Vanderbilt University's FNP program! They do distance-learning, basically a long-weekend of classes most months and you do your clinicals at your home site if you're more than 2hrs from Nashville. Good luck!

I plan on doing vanderbilt's fnp as well. it is respected and flexible. I have researched quite a few programs at it is my top pick.
