Hi all,
I am currently in OB/Peds this semester, and I have to find a research topic related to the OB/Peds field to write a scholarly paper. However, I have been having some trouble finding one that I am interested in. I wanted to try breastfeeding and IQ, mother-baby bonding-related, but I could not find anything on the University Library database. Any ideas?
Your help would be most appreciated.

I would be VERY surprised if there were no scholarly articles on Breastfeeding and IQ, mother/infant bonding, etc. Perhaps you need different search terms.
There is a growing movement to encourage skin-to-skin in the OR after cesarean deliveries. Maybe look at that?

what about the probability that breastfeeding increases bonding with baby, and therefore decreases the risk/severity of postpartum depression.
I read a few scholarly articles on that topic. Basically saying that new moms who are unable to breastfeed are more likely to suffer from pp depression. Some moms said that they felt that being able to breastfeed was a really important part of the bonding experience.

Since I am only looking for nursing scholarly articles (has to be written by a nurse per grading requirement), maybe that limits my findings greatly. I like your suggestion.
That sounds like a good topic. I will look at that one as well.
