Research RN?

What do you do as a research nurse? Pros/cons? Do you like it?

I’have diploma in general & midwifery nursing from Pakistan , I have 16 years job experience in medical & surgical emergency. Now I want to be a RN & start my job . So what to do first for me

I work in research and we administer investigational pain medications to volunteers post operatively. There are a variety of research indications but acute pain is our specialty. I love that we are a M-F and three 12's operation. Off weekends and holidays. Still some patient care but not high acuity. Being a part of studies that help reduce the needs of opioids is important to me as well.
