Research Paper: Elective Cesareans

Hello-

I thought this might be the best place to ask for some direction on a persuasive paper I have to write for English comp.

I am specifically looking for research and journal articles on elective Cesarean surgeries.

Does anybody know where I might start searching for such sources?

Thanks in advance!

Hello Jen, last quarter in English comp I wrote my paper on c-sections, and included some info on VBAC's and elective c-sections. Definitely check the medical journals available through your school (if they have an on-line database it shouldn't be too hard to find some). If you're allowed to use other resources, you might try googling Brittney Spear's pregnancy. She had an elective c-section, and was rather uninformed about pregnancy in general. I included that in my paper. Hope it turns out well :)

Gosh..I wish I could find the paperwork on this...but NIH is doing a 2 day conference on this subject. They are going to publish but I cannot for the life of me find the brochure I got in the mail. Maybe go to the NIH website and see what they have on it. Seems there will be all kinds of big wigs chatting on the subject. It is at the end of March I believe, or the very beginning of April..just can't remember.

It is a hot topic, it should be a great research project.

Good luck to you.

The conference will be the last several days of March.

I'm going through work. Looks fascinating!

Hi,

Try search the Nursing Spectrum magazine online. They have very good articles, and you might be able to find something on your topic there.

Happy Hunting!
