HI,

I've been working as a nurse for just over 2 years now, and I'm planning on grad school for next fall. I am really interested in nursing research and want to get some experience now. Any ideas on how I can get involved in a project?? I'm living in a different city than where I went to school, so contacting my old professors is not an option

I'd appreciate any advice!

Does your hospital/healthcare organization you work for have a research committee? Or maybe you could organize a nursing journal club for you and your colleagues at your unit/hospital and discuss the latest research that way, critique it, and see if you all can use what you read about in practice. I just started graduate school last month and our professors are already drilling evidence based practice into our heads. :) But I agree with them that EBP is the way to go. Good luck!
