I don't know if this will help...but these are the questions we have to address for ROL critique in my Research class:
Review of Literature and Framework
1.What concepts are included in the review? (list the IVs and DVs and how they are conceptually defined)
2.Does the ROL explicitly state the relationships among the variables or place them in a theoretical/conceptual framework? What are the relationships?
3.What gaps or conflicts in knowledge about the problem are identified?
4.How does the study intend to fill those gaps of resolve those conflicts?
5.Are the references cited in the ROL mostly primary or secondary sources?
6.List the operational definitions of the variables under study.
7.Do the operational definitions reflect the conceptual definitions? Rationale?
