Hi everybody.... Thanks for all the suggestions and i had finally come up with a topic while sitting down at the clinic and start looking around. So what i'm gonna work on is Comaparison of tympanic and oral thermometer. I need to pass and score on this subjects very well in order to get at least a good grade for this module. I just got my results for part A which consist of 50% of this module. Wasn't satisfied with my results after i put in so much effort although the grade is pass. I aim for a distinction but didn't come true so i need to put in extra effort for this remaining module , that is my research literature. After i read the 6 articles, i realised that my research knowledge is very poor. Coz i don't know how to critique from what i have read , especially the methodology part. Although we don't have to critque the statistic method but somehow still need to know how to interpret. I find it's tough when we need to write down our views. Anybody ever did this topic before? Can help me, please? I'm quite sad over my grade.

What does this sentence means? Can someone tells me? " Because there was no correlation between tympanic and oral temperatures ,the clinician cannot infer a relationship between two temperature modes. This support using the same type of thermometer if serial temperatures are to be taken." What does it say?

Ok , so now i have a rough picture of how to start. Firstly, i will start reading all the 6 articles which is the minimum requirement. I will highlight the important points that is solely related to my topic ,which is, COMAPRISION ON THE ACCURACY BETWEEN ORAL AND TYMPANIC THERMOMETER. Note the method use in each article and each comment made.Compare.....hmmmm...... On my assignment , i will start with an intro. What to write about intro? Need to put on my thinking cap again which is about to rust..... Hi rnmaven, can just give me one or two examples to start off with as i am working in a clinic and i had never done any research before. This is just a basic research. I need to think of a topic to start writing but i don't have any good idea. It's kind of difficult for me and i'm a bit stress out with this subject. How do you define paternalisim in relating to nursing dilemmas?

Hi all, MAy i have some opinions from anybody for the scenario below; A 65 years old female was admitted to hospital after a fall. She was diagnosed with left CVA stroke. Patient refused to eat and drink and was in a denial stage for her condition. She tried to eat but unable to swallow properly, therfore, lead her to deny all food and drink served a couple of days. Intake / output chart showed unacceptable result.Doctor in charged thus ordered a ryles tube insertion for her to replace oral intake. Upon insertion, patient refused the procedure, family members were contacted to persuade patients to undrego the procedure but they were not supportive of the idea as they feel that the patient was capable of ingesting orally. Despite the family and patient disagreement of ryles tube insertion, the nurse incharge proceeded with the Dr's order. What's your solution is your patients doesn't want to be tube fed and yet the dr's order is to do so.
