Is it ok that I am supposed to take my NCLEX on Monday July 9 at 2pm but I rescheduled at 1:30 pm sunday july 8th online for July 16 at 2 pm. I hope I read the rescheduling policy correctly and I am kind of nervous. Someone pls reply thank you!
I just can't believe they would give me a confirmation email if it wouldn't be correct idk I'm trying to just pray about and hoping I didn't really mess something up!
Much of the Pearson VUE website is automated. That means that it does a lot without a real person there to review it. Pearson VUE relies on people reading the email notifications and their policies. There may not be fail-safes built into the website to prevent people from rescheduling online inside the 24 hour window. Also remember that Pearson VUE is a for-profit company. The more people who miss their exam and have to repay, the more money they make. Even if the error is entirely the fault of the Pearson VUE system (and in this case it would not be because their website says you must reschedule within one business day, they will not give you a refund or make exceptions.
That is my first email saying that I could reschedule 24 hours before exam. Idk I just read that and thought oh we'll that's good I could give myself another week to study. Idk I was kinda panicking! Ashley I'm so worried they are gunna tell me that I rescheduled incorrectly and that I'm gunna have reapply and repay I thought I had read the policy correctly. I could just cry! I at least hope I can still take it when I was scheduled for it. I'm trying to har faith!
Try to relax. The thing is, they either process the change or they don't. You didn't cancel the exam, so it's either scheduled for the 16th or it stays scheduled for tomorrow. I'm guessing that when you call tomorrow they will say that you tried to reschedule too late and you have to either stay with your original exam time or repay the fee. So there is a good chance you'll be taking the exam tomorrow. You don't want to spend the night before your exam stressing out about it. Go do something fun to take your mind off of this and get a good night's sleep. In the morning, call Pearson VUE and see when your test is scheduled for. Then call the testing center and see if they have you on the schedule.
Let me know how it goes tomorrow! Good luck!
Thank you so much Ashley! You are a sweetheart! I'm truly praying you are correct. I can handle taking it tom, but like I said I can't handle them throwing the whole thing out the window! Lol you have truly helped put my mind and heart at easy! God bless you and your family! I'll let you know what they say
I know for a FACT that if it were too late to reschedule, you would have gotten a Red message underneath your appt date as you log in..the message would have said "Cannot schedule a new appoint because existing appt is within 24hrs" or something to that nature. I know because the day before my test last week I logged in just to check the address for the test center and I saw the red msg. The computer knows! So if you didn't see a red msg, it allowed you to change, and you got the confirmation email of the new date..you are FINE!! I promise you
Well I spoke to two separate representatives at the Pearson vue company and they both said that my test had been rescheduled and I am good to go for the 7-16-2012 testing date that I rescheduled to. They said that as long as you reschedule 24 hours before online you are ok! I'm thanking god that I did it correctly! Now I have an extra week to feel really prepared! :)
