Rescheduled NCLEX on Sunday pls help!!

Published

Is it ok that I am supposed to take my NCLEX on Monday July 9 at 2pm but I rescheduled at 1:30 pm sunday july 8th online for July 16 at 2 pm. I hope I read the rescheduling policy correctly and I am kind of nervous. Someone pls reply thank you!

I was told it was supposed to be done 72 hours prior to testing!

They sent me a confirmation email and it stated that rescheduling was fine as long as it was 24 hours before the test. But I don't feel like they are clear cut in their answers.

Did you speak to a Pearson VUE representative? If your test is scheduled less than 48 hours from the time you reschedule, you can't do it online. You have to call Pearson VUE to reschedule.

I need to reschedule a test appointment and my appointment is currently scheduled for tomorrow. What should I do?

If your appointment is scheduled for less than 48 hours from now, you will need to speak with Pearson VUE customer service.*

*Test appointments scheduled for less than 48 hours from now cannot be rescheduled on the website. Rescheduling policies differ for each program. Please refer to your confirmation email for program specific information before attempting to reschedule your test appointment.

I thought I read somewhere that if you are scheduled to test like on a Monday, you are meant to call or reschedule on Friday (which is the last business day). Please call and actually speak to someone, so you don't forfeit your 200 dollars!!

I did check my confirmation email and it specifically said that I could reschedule my test 24 hours before original testing and it listed the pearsonview website as a way to do it. I'm just do scared right now that I didn't do it correctly and that they are going to deactivate my att. I'm just praying that when I call first thing in the morning that everything will be ok!

I also found this, in the 2011 NCLEX Test Takers Guide. It states that you cannot reschedule a Monday appointment on Sunday. You need to reschedule one BUSINESS day before the exam. For for a Monday exam, that means rescheduling on Friday.

If you need to change your appointment date, time or location, you may go to the NCLEXCandidate website http://www.pearsonvue.com/nclex or call Pearson VUE NCLEX CandidateServices one full business day (24 hours) before the scheduled exam date and time asdescribed below:

For examinations scheduled on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday call atleast 24 hours prior to the day and time of your appointment.

For examinations scheduled on Saturday, Sunday or Monday, call no later thanFriday at least 24 hours in advance of your appointment time.

NOTE: Leaving a message on an answering machine does not constitute giving therequired notice for rescheduling or unscheduling your testing appointment. You musteither reschedule or unschedule your appointment on the NCLEX Candidate website or byspeaking with an agent at Pearson VUE NCLEX Candidate Services.

If you didn't speak to a live representative, you need to call tomorrow morning as soon as they open and confirm that your appointment was rescheduled. I have read several posts on here from people that rescheduled their exam, but the change was not processed and they missed their exam time. They were not allowed to reschedule and did not get a refund. They had to reapply for a new ATT and pay the NCLEX exam fee again.

There is no one there on subdays

K so you think that if it didn't process that they will at least let me take it when I was supposed to

Hey Ashley. When I was rescheduling I had read that same policy but I understood it to mean that rescheduling on the phone had to be one full business day but the online could be 24 hours. I mean their policy really isn't very clear.

I just can't believe they would give me a confirmation email if it wouldn't be correct idk I'm trying to just pray about and hoping I didn't really mess something up!

Just to save yourself and your money...show up at your testing center if you are supposed to test in the morning. If your testing time is later, then call and speak to a human that works in the PearsonVue test taking services center...
