Hey all,
i just joined and it sounds like a lot of us are in a similar scenario of jobs. I am so frustrated! I graduated aug of 2012, got my license in feb 13, and just renewed it because its expiring the end of this month and not 1 job offer! Ive applied sooo many times and finally got an interview (royally blew that!) and only because we knew the hiring person. Anyone have any suggestions? Ive got indeed.com and another site that daily delivers jobs in my email inbox. This is so discouraging, ive posted my resume on indeed's site and they see my lvn experience and call me or email me for a lvn job. The thing is i didnt go back to school, and get my rn license to continue being a lvn.
Is anyone from california experiencing the same scenario? Im in the central valley and i can't relocate its just not possible.

Wow! What caused the huge delay in getting your license? I am sure that was very harmful to your job prospects. I know for certain the huge delay would send up red flags where I work.
Have you considered working as an LVN in a place where you could move into an RN position when one opens up?
Thanks for your reply Ive thought of that and was talking with a recruiter about it and she said id only be a LVN without moving up I had delays because I was taking chemistry in the fall. we were considered a summer grad and our grad ceremony was in dec. Also kiddos had a hospitalization and the other surgery. I know that the gap doesnt look good but i don't know if i should include reasons why in a cover letter or leave it alone? frustrating
