I live in the Chicagoland area and am trying to get in with United. Does anybody know of any other disease management companies in the area I could try that offer work from home opportunites? I'm not opposed to traveling for onsite training if that's what it takes. Thanks!:yeah:

No takers??? :uhoh21:

Google it and follow the links... which companies do this in your area.. That is how I found several..

Specializes in L&D; Case Management; Nursing Education.

Aetna, Cigna, Humana, Molina, Wellpoint, UHS, Informed. There may be others, but these are ones I know of.

It's wonderful to work from home (and a real money saver), but the employer will give you more work than can be done in a day and you are expected to get it done! I've been doing this type of job for nearly 5 years and I rarely get off work on time. Sometimes I work a couple hours extra and still not finished. Of course, you're on salary (not a good one either) so all overtime is without pay. And most of these jobs require working into late evening (8-10pm) several days a week. Also, you can't have children or pets in your "office" since the employer doesn't want patients to know you're at home and you must "call-then-document" person after person after person with no time to concentrate on family.
