My husband has just been offered a position outside of Toronto we can't pass up. I am an RN currently working in home health. Can anyone give me advice on what I need to do to be able to practice as an RN in Canada? If you have any information on the Markham area as well, that would be an added bonus!!! Excited, but very nervous!!! Thanks!

DBain 8 Posts Feb 15, 2011 It took me almost 9 months to get from submitting to the College of Nursing of Ontario to sitting the CRNE ... so get the process started.

I cannot recall if any of them did their BSN through D'youville but you can find this out by asking D'youville.I don't know if you are aware but York University offers a post-RN BScN for internationally educated nurses. See entry criteria, http://futurestudents.yorku.ca/programs/nursing/intldishes

A couple of York's internationally educated RN-BScN students have done their clinical placement at my workplace but I did not have the opportunity to meet them, so cannot comment on their experience with the program. If you meet York's eligibility criteria, are accepted into and complete the program, it may be the most straight forward way for you to become eligible to write the CRNE.dishes
