Hi,I really need some help here and I hope someone can give me answers please!!!
I am Canadian, having received my degree in the province of Quebec. I am getting married in June to an American in June 2007 and will be relocating to New Jersey soon after. I am planning to gain entry with a TN visa. So here are my questions:
- does anyone know of a "good" hospital to work at in Northern NJ? I have heard that Englewood and Hackensack are two of the best in the area. Anyone has any advice?
- I have 2 years experience on an ENT, vascular and thoracic surgical unit...
- Also, I have been told that the easiest and quickest way in to apply is through Minnesota for my TN visa
- I will then have to register for the NXCLEX and get CGFNS approval...does this sound about right?
- What happens then? Does NJ actually recognize Minnesota's liscence? Do I have to do anything else once in NJ in order to work?
I am sooooooo confused and time is running out for me. I have only 8 months to get my act together, get married, study for the NCLEX, pass the NCLEX, move to NJ, and find a job.....
Any advice wold be more than appreciated!!!!

Where does your fiance live in Northern NJ? Although both hospitals are excellent there are numerous others to consider. I believe you will need to apply for your NJ license as soon as you can. Have you tried to get in touch with an agency? They might be more equiped to help you out. I am sure that they deal with this sort of thing all of the time. I have recently been inquiring about agencies and the one that keeps coming up is American Mobile. Take a look at their web-site and see if there is anything to help you out there.
If you could let me know what town you will be living in I might be able to give you some other hospitals to look in to.

You will also need to start the process with www.cgfns.org for the Visa Screen Certificate. I'd start now, as this can take the longest. You'll also need the Credentials Evaluation Report from CGNFS (Full Education Course by Course Report), so you could start getting transcripts sent from your school/s.
