Reliabe Immigration Lawyer for RN

Published

Hi

I am an F1 nursing(BSN) student. Can anyone recommend a trustworthy lawyer who is experienced in handling green card process for new RNs. I am in the state of Georgia.

Also I graduate in May and plan to write the NCLEX in July or August. What are the issues I should be concerned about in the period between my F1 and when I get my NCLEX license? I am not clear on that.

You are jumping the gun. You do not need the immigration lawyer for anything until after you graduate from school. You also need a job offer first. You will also need to pass NCLEX first, as no petition can be filed on your behalf until then.

What you want to make sure is that you file for the OPT before you graduate. That is the only thing that must be taken care fo before you actually graduate, or it is too late.

I am very much aware of all you stated. However, I am not the person who waits until I need something to get the info. I like to have all my stuff gathered so that when the time comes I have everything I need, and go from there. So the reason I need a lawyer's name & # now, is that that it'll be in my planner, I do my own research on the person/firm and be ready to make that contact as soon as that time comes.

Sorry, but that is not the way to do it. Things can change with immigration between this time and then. I can easily give you the name of an excellent attorney to use, but there is absolutely nothing that can be done and I do not suggest it.

If you get the OPT as I stated, then you have one year to get everything done after you graduate.

Right now, you would not have the appropriate questions even in hand to be able to ask. Those will depend on who your employer is.

Yeah, things change very rapidly.

You have to go step by step...:)
