"Health Care Literacy" is a hot topic. From a nursing perspective, this means that we have to determine how much the patient actually understands. Since it includes sensitive issues such as literacy levels, intelligence, cultural factors, etc.... it would be a good topic. There is a lot of information available. Maybe too much - LOL. I would suggest narrowing it down to one factor, such as literacy. How can you accurately assess a patient's literacy level in order to figure out what type of educational materials would be appropriate?

For my relational practice class we need to give the class a workshop and I was hoping maybe someone would have a good idea on here
The workshops could be some kind of learning session and activity, a speaker could come in and teach us something or anything really workshopy like hahaha
Relational practice is a class that deals with relationships with patients, communication skills, equality, racism, pretty much anything to do with client or co worker relationships and things like compassion fatigue, fitness to practice and ways to combat stress
Any one have a cool ideas?
