As a fellow male student, sucks you didn't make it. At first I thought you were saying that the quality of paper they used was nice haha.It seems that things do happen for a reason and I am sure it will work out nicely for you.
The quality of the paper was what I ment, it is a pretty impressive sheet of parchment (ok not that nice, but close).

'Congratulations on being nominated. Although the Committee selected another student we really liked your application' (really really loose quote)
Ugh, that was awful. But it really was a slugfest between the best students at my school so I am glad to have been nominated for the award, I just didn't like the way the rejection letter read.
I had never really known rejection until today, not that everything comes super easy for me, but I am always a great candidate and usually get what I go after if I put effort into it. I guess I just haven't been striving as hard as I should be. I think I am finally competing at the right level.
Rejection is humbling, and my heart really goes out to those that were turned away this application cycle. I am keeping my head up and learning from my rejection I hope you do the same.
I am not going to give up on scholarships, I am going to go back over my application, see what I can do to improve it and apply for a better scholarship that would have been off-limits to me if I were to have won this one. Everything happens for a reason right?
I'll apply for that next scholarship, you apply for that next school, and if luck sees things our way we will end up better off.
