I rec'd my rejection letter in April and was so disappointed!! I got a call on Monday offering me a spot in the LVN program at Navarro college - which I didn't even apply for - only applied to ADN. I accepted since did not get into RN program. Then two days later, I get a call offering me a spot in the RN program. YEAH!!! Evidently, someone dropped out and I was the first alternate. My rejection letter did not even mention that I was on the alternate list. I'm soooooo excited. The Lord always blesses me with opportunities!! We have our first meeting on Aug 6th to meet faculty, read Board of Nurse Examiner rules, etc. Just wanted everyone to know that even if you get rejected there is always the chance that you will get in at the last minute!!

Yeah for you. Also you didnt get rejected. You got accepted right?
glad you prayed he was definitely listening.
When you study get organized. Make friends with the upperclass they will give you advise listen with light of heart sometimes people enjoy giving you a hard time. People with genuine good advise will be a blessing.
You will have too much to do. Learn early you will be a RN and you must prioritize. Learn to decide what is the most important to get done first when to give yourself a break and who you should be friends with and who not to be.
Realize you will need to work hard and ask for help from instructors and other students early on. I see on the site that some students flunk out and then can not get back in. Its devistating to work so hard and have those issues. The time will go much faster than you think. Im glad you are doing your RN if your going to go to school go ahead a little longer and get the RN its so worth it. You will have more responsibility more income. and more respect. Docs always ask me oh your a nurse RN or LVN? I say RN they say oh. and then start talking on their level because they know I will understand. Its amaizng to have that kind of respect. You have got to know what your talking about thought.
Cultivate relationships dont talk to much it makes you seem smarter and you learn more. Especially when you need to learn like now. Less is more at this point. the more confident you are will dictate when to talk and when to act.
Good luck and go get em youll do great. Dont forget to pray. pray about everything thats important to you he will answer and help but dont forget to thank too.
god bless smiles 04
