We were reminiscing about a traumatic brain injury pt that we looked after on my ward last year. He was under the trauma service for some reason instead of neuro so that's how we ended up with him. Abdo surgery and general trauma (long bone injuries etc) but to some bed mangers trauma is trauma. Any how our pts usual rehab goals are to walk unaided, cook a meal, blah blah blah.
This pt who we looked after for months had 3 specific goals. - walk without falling into the wall - stop drooling - not to scare my kid when she comes to visit.
I wonder did he reach them?
