I was just wonder what kind of backpack everyone uses. I know it is probably a silly question but I don't want to carry heavy books on my back. I start school on the 18th of August. I just wonder what everyone think is the on with wheels best for nursing students. Thank to everyone that will apply.

Actually, I carried a shoulder pack, and left most of my books/supplies in my car. Our instructors were good about letting us know what books/supplies we needed the next day, and I would pack accordingly. I tend to be a minimalist, so less is more for me. It also helps me with organization. We had a student in class that carried everything she owned in 2 large totes, and was constantly digging through them trying to find what she needed at the moment. I started with the "wheeled" version of a back-pack, but quickly morphed into the shoulder bag. You'll figure out what works for you. A secret? I went through 4-5 different bags before I settled on one that worked for me. :chuckle

Yeah, I suppose it depends on your instructor. Through college I was able to use a shoulder bag... but since nursing school, they usually require that we bring most of our books... so I of course bought a rolling backpack. A good 90% of the nursing students at my school use rolling backpacks... Idk how the others w/ regular ones did it. Who cares if you look goofy, at least you won't be the one with a bad back in the long run (hopefully) :)
