Im going to Sydney in April (5 months ahead of schedule) and want to register when I get there as easier to take original documents with me.
Has anyone got experience of registering to practice in person and how long it would take to process the application.
I have a cousin in Syd who has phoned the board for me and they said its easier to do in person, but i dont know how long it would take.
Thanks in advance for your help,

It would be easier but I would very strongly suggest that you apply from the UK first and especially get the immigation visa paperwork done as soon as possible. THAT can take up to 6 months.
Dont scare me now!!
Im going on a WHV, doing my application online. Ive decided i am gonna send my documents off before i go, hopefully will be on the register by the time i get there in April. Thanks for your help.

Your other option vicki is to apply for a position with one of the health areas - they can help expediate the process. The NRB seems to work wonderfully fast when it is for people who have positions waiting for them. I work in the Northern Sydney Central Coast Area and believe me there is plenty of work.
