Regis College Direct Entry BA/BS 2017

Published

Hi,

I've applied to Regis College's Accelerated BS/MS for their early decision I round this October! Just decided to start this discussion as we all share our thoughts on the program, why we applied, etc.

A bit about myself, I'm a current senior in college applying for the program next year. What I love about it is you don't necessarily have to commit to a specialty before entry, which is uncommon for DE programs.

I should hear back by the end of October, so I'll keep you updated. Any current or former students from this program are welcome to chime in as well!

I'm planning to go to UMass too! Haven't submitted my deposit yet but plan to tomorrow or Friday. I believe there's cost info on the website but I think its last year's...Should give a decent idea though. Financial aid info ASAP would be helpful but UMass is pretty affordable as is so I don't think another school will beat it. I also can't pass up the opportunity for a DNP!

Hey just got my acceptance letter v. Excited. However I wish it wasn't so early waiting to here back from NU and upenn!

Hi Everyone! Congrats to those who got accepted. I applied for the ABSN/MSN regular decision and just received an email for a phone interview in a few days. I'm so nervous and not sure what I'll be asked. Can anyone share what the phone interview is like and what type of questions they ask?? Also, I saw on here that the deposit is steep? How much is the deposit? Thank you!

The interview is pretty informal and short (15-20 mins). Here are questions I remember: Why Regis? Is cost a factor in choosing a program? What sets you a part from other applicants?

I received an acceptance letter (via email) on Dec 21st. They asked for a $1000 deposit by Jan 23rd and another $1000 by Feb 23rd.

Thank you so much! Congrats on your acceptance!

Thanks! Good luck with your interview. I'm sure you'll do fine.

I just finished my interview and it was only 10 mins. So nervous, I felt like I did good. I did ask the interviewer about preceptorship because I saw in previous forums that we have to find our own. However, the interviewer said we will be assigned preceptors throughout the program. Does anyone know if this is for sure???

Hello everyone! I also recently had my interview on campus at Regis and my experience was similar to all of yours. It was about 10 minutes and pretty laid back. I was asked why Regis, what makes me stand out,etc (the basic questions!)

I was also told that they will send all the letters out from the regular admission cycle on 2/22.

Overall it was a good experience and I am crossing my fingers that I get in!

Good luck everyone :)

For those who got into Regis have you looked into housing? Seems like the campus is a bit far from apartments.

Just received my acceptance!! Is there a facebook group for the incoming class of 2020?

Congrats! Was it by email or mail?

Thank you! It was by email.
