Hello All (Current NPs and or Students),
I want to get started early with a solid foundation as an APRN. Although I haven't started a program as of yet, which reference books would you recommend for advance pathophysiology, advance pharmacology and health assessments? I am aware that some medical books maybe my option. I want to be as prepared as possible for clinicals and during my future practice. My current goal is the MSN with PMHNP track. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance:)

Netter's Clinical Anatomy
Guyton and Hall Textbook of Medical Physiology
Robbins Basic Pathology
Basic and Clinical Pharmacology
Bates' Guide to Physical Examination and History Taking
This should be more than enough to give you a solid foundation in general medical knowledge. As far as specific psychiatric references go, I can't recommend any as I am only an FNP. Maybe some PMHNP's can offer some good ones. Hope this helps! :)

Yep all those are good. Then once in pathophysiology you'll get a decent pathophysiology book. But learn anatomy, physiology, and pathogy first. That plenty to get you started. Good luck
