Has anyone taken a CNA/GNA program through the American Red Cross? I'm thinking about enrolling in one of these programs because I need to get a job that pays more than $10 an hour... and it may be more than 2yrs before I can start the RN program which is the career I'd eventually like to have. I was just wondering if you could offer any insight. Also, would I be more likely to find more work as a CNA or as a GNA?
Thanks!

Well depending on your state you will not make more than 10/hr as a new grad. I know in my state entry level is about 8.50/hr. Then after a 3 to 6 month period you get a raise puting you at almost 10 or low 9/hr. Also if you can get into a program through the Red Cross it would be great I believe.
Thanks for your reply!
