I do a lot of recycled art- using basically using throw away things and making something out of it. It's probably genetic, as my Dad was one to make useful things out of junk. So, I'm starting this thread with homage for him.
I was dating this young lady back in 1979 who was into photography. My Dad and I were sitting on the porch playing our guitars while she snapped pictures. This is a detail from one of those pics:
Last Summer, being retired and having all the time in the world, I began creating art with whatever was my whim. I made a frame out of some old treated lumber and took an old piece of tarp to use as a canvas. I painted a monochromatic painting from this detail, and exhibited on an easel I had welded out of some old fence posts:
Dad passed away in 2013, but now I get to see him every day as he sits near the driveway, overlooking the valley.
