Recruitment and Retention

Hello Everyone,

I'd like to know what your facility does to recruit and retain nurses. Also, what do you enjoy most about your job? What department do you work and the number of beds? Any and all responses would be greatly appreciated!!

Unfortunately there is no retention incentive, for new hires, there are sign on bonus of $3,000.00 with a 2 yr. minimum requirement but for seasoned nurses they get zilch. Just another reason we are losing nurses to other places. It seems the only way to get a raise is to leave and go somewhere else until your requirement is met then so someplace else for another sign on bonus.
