Hello!
Currently looking for RN job, specifically in NY. Ive seen a lot but most of them are posted from recruiting agencies, I was thinking since it will be my first RN job, would be practical to work with agencies to get a job or wait until a hospital human resources manager contacted me thru direct hiring? I just feel like I dont wanna get involve in any agencies dealing with my career, any thoughts? i heard it is really hard to get a job in NY. thanks so much

It's an employer's market there is no need for NY hospitals human resources departments to use recruiters. Why would a hospital pay a recruiter when they can post a position on their website and receive multiple resumes? Many large healthcare employers have resume screening software that can sift through and select qualified applicants to be interviewed.

Completely agree with PP.
Employers do not need to spend money on advertising or recruiters when they have a constant stream of applicants (especially new grads). Apply directly to each organization.
