I am currently going back and forth on applying for an ADN or going for my LVN.
I have a bachelor’s in health admin and only have a 3.32 GPA and I am missing one sociology requirement that’s a pre-req on most nursing apps.
I have the choice to either do my (CNA starting in January and testing in April)and apply to two programs and wait until June/ July to find out if I’m accepted(no guarantee). Or I was thinking about doing my LVN at a private school which will be 60% covered by my GI bill out of pocket will be about $10,000. But I would be able to start January and graduate around March 2023 or so. I do want to get back to clinical and it is truly my passion.
I would love to go back and retake my prerequisites but most schools I found are now limiting retakes and deducting points. I have straight Bs in anatomy, physiology, Chemistry, and micro. And straight As in all the other reqs. So I’m low on the multi screening points… I’m also taking an online sociology course this Spring but won’t be done in time for any other applications. Someone please let me know what you would do? Thank you. Sincerely, Brain Malfunctioning
