I am currently completing bachelor of nursing degree in mental health nursing at university of manchester, upon completion of this i wish to move to Germany. (my standard of written and oral german is acceptable for work in germany).
1) How do i get my qualification recognised in germany?
2) Would my qualification be recognised in germany? (as it is specifically 'mental health nursing' and i do not believe germany has this as a specialised course until you are a qualified general nurse)

Hello you should be able to get your qualification recognized with a federal German health authority, however you will need to choose "Gesundheits- und Krankenpfleger" as profession/title of reference (Referenzberuf) which is the title for a registered nurse, not one specialised in working with mental health patients. Besides your diploma (which should be recognized automatically since it is from the UK) you will need to prove that you are at a B2 level German, so with a certificate from Goethe, DAF or Telc preferably. If you are registering from outside of the UK you will need to have an employer give you a intention statement saying they will hire you once your diploma is recognized with the local authority.

Although your education / degree may be accepted, you need to apply to get your education evaluated.
It is not automatically guaranteed that you will be equivalent to a general nurse with your psychiatric nursing education.
Anyhow, I think the language is the bigger problems for most people from the EU...
