Recent Graduate LPN scores her first GiG! Excited BUT nervous. Needs advice

Published

Ok, so I got my first job after searching for a month. I actually still cant believe how easy it was. Its a partime job, $21/hour, 3rd shift. I get two weeks training, 5 days in the class n the other 5 on the floor. After the training im on my own. It will be me and 4 CNA's. Do any of you seasoned nurses have any advice for me?? I know all nurses have to be nervous when they are new on the floor. :nailbiting:

Respect your CNAs and take lots of pens.

Congratulations.. sorry no advice! In the same shoes as you! Looking for advice as well!!

So how do you like it so far

Hey Taylor haven't started yet. Next orientation starts on the 6th. I was offered the job.

Could have started earlier this week but my license endorsement from Illinois was the hold up. I received my license yesterday! It has been a long process. I also have another interview tomorrow for hospice!
