Hi everyone! I have applied for an NCLEX exam in 2008 and was found eligible to take the exam but unfortunately I was not able to schedule the exam, i am an RN in the Philippines and now I am an immigrant here in California and I want to take the exam. What should I do? Do i have to redo the whole process of application or they already have my file with them? I was approved to take the exam in 2008 and still in the Philippines. Please help me for I am so clueless on how to start....

You do not apply for the NCLEX. You apply for a nursing license by examination as an internationally educated nurse. You must have a valid social security number to apply. Your file was destroyed after 3 years so it's been gone since 2011. You need to reapply and submit all requires credentials including your curriculum, schedule, calendar of clinical rotations, RLE book and possibly your passport to prove you were in fact in the Philippines at the time if school.
You may be declined if all of your clinical, cases and theory were not completed in the same semester. For example if you had maternity/obstetrics from Sep 1 - Dec 15 2006 all theory, clinical, delivery & cord care must have been completed within that time period. If one cord care was completed on Dec 20, 2006 your application will be denied until you retake obstetrics/maternity semester (at your expense) at a CABRN approved school. Read up in the nurse registration forum for issues on concurrency.
