Hi does anyone work at the Reading Hospital? I was just offered a position there & I asked about scrubs. They told me that RN's can wear any color & no crazy prints. What exactly is a crazy print? They might have meant no prints at all, so I am giong to have to ask for more clarification when I speak with them again. I hope that you can wear some prints b/c I found a great deal on shirts! Thanks!

You seriously can wear just about anything. All the reasonable prints with cats and bears and stars and butterflies and flowers.
Thanks! I have another question now, since I see that you have L&D & PP experience. Do the Reading Hospital L&D & PP floors higher new grad/ inexperienced nurses? I have been unofficially been offered a new grad position in occupational health that is for 2 months. If they like you then they will try to get you a position at the hospital, depending on what positions are open. I'm hoping fora women's health position. I decided to go to nursing school b/c I waned to become a LC, I still do but am also thinking about WHNP although both are years away. Thanks!
They have hired new grads onto L&D, PP and even NICU. The hiring really depends on needs...sometimes they can't afford new grads because they need the experience on the floor. It certainly isn't impossible to get a position.
The position you were offered is temporary? I would look for other positions there...I'm sure they will be more favorable in hiring somebody from within than outside of the position works with your experience level.
Thanks! This gives me hope!
Yes, the position is only 2 months, it's to perform health screenings on hospital employees. It's a new program.

Hi Kimann80,
Do you have any news? Did you get a callback recently and did you get the job finalized?
Everything is getting finalized! Thanks for asking! I am so excited to finally get my 1st nursing job! :)
How is everything going? Did you get a permanent job at Reading Hospital?
Hi, yes I did! I'm an IV nurse.
