  5. Everything is getting finalized! Thanks for asking! I am so excited to finally get my 1st nursing job! :)
  6. Thanks! This gives me hope! Yes, the position is only 2 months, it's to perform health screenings on hospital employees. It's a new program.
  7. Thanks! I have another question now, since I see that you have L&D & PP experience. Do the Reading Hospital L&D & PP floors higher new grad/ inexperienced nurses? I have been unofficially been offered a new grad position in occupational health that is for 2 months. If they like you then they will try to get you a position at the hospital, depending on what positions are open. I'm hoping fora women's health position. I decided to go to nursing school b/c I waned to become a LC, I still do but am also thinking about WHNP although both are years away. Thanks!
  8. Has anyone ever been to the PS Scrub outlet in the VF outlets in Reading? I was wondering if it was worth & really an outlet w/ lower prices & not just a normal store. Thanks!
  9. Hi does anyone work at the Reading Hospital? I was just offered a position there & I asked about scrubs. They told me that RN's can wear any color & no crazy prints. What exactly is a crazy print? They might have meant no prints at all, so I am giong to have to ask for more clarification when I speak with them again. I hope that you can wear some prints b/c I found a great deal on shirts! Thanks!
  10. I got a call from NE GA that all residencies were filled by internal candidates. I've applied to residencies at Well Star, Houston Perry, Atlanta Med Ctr, Children's Hospital in Atlanta, Central GA, and St Francis & have not heard back. Has anyone heard from any of these hospitals? I'm in PA & looking to relocate to GA. I graduated last May, passed my boards in June & can't even get a phone interview in PA! Everyone wants a BSN & I have a ADN. I'm starting my BSN in 2 weeks :)
  11. I graduated from nursing school in May 2013 w/ an ADN. I live in Eastern PA and have been applying to jobs since before graduation and have not been called for 1 interview. I have been applying to all areas & shifts in any setting w/in 50 miles from my house. My calling is maternity/LD/OB. I was wondering if there is a more of a need for RN's & if it would be easier to get a position in GA, esp in women's health. I am starting online BSN classes in May & I am hoping that having on my resume will help too. I also have to make sure that my husband can find a job too, he's a history teacher. Thanks!
