Hi all,
I am in the process of applying at the University of Chicago (moving from MN with my boyfriend for his job) and wondering what it's like there; nurse to patient ratios, starting wage, good units to work on, etc. Any info would be greatly appreciated - the good, the bad AND the ugly!

Hello,
They are Union from what I understand. I do not know much else, I only worked there two nights and then realized full time 12 hour midnight shifts was too much with my current schedule.
It was as a student nurse intern in the neuro ICU, (not techs and six nurses and it was harder than any tech job I had worked before -couldn't maintain the icu demand- and I had been used to working ortho/physical rehab with an average of 8-10 pts).
I have heard good things about it though.
