I am currently a Pre-clinical student at BMCC. All I can say is stay on top of all of your classes. It is very competitive being that this is one of the few schools that offer evening classes. As far at the PCI classes they only look at the four classes listed on the web site, but if your an evening student you have to take all of your sciences before you can actually apply to the nursing program. They basically look at your GPA and they start selecting at 4.0, so your GPA is what determines if you get in. Welcome to ALLNURSES !!!:chuckle

Thanks so much for the info. Are you are day student? I am will going on the weekends. Thanks again

No I am an evening student as well. BMCC is okay its just that there is alot of competition, because they have too many pre-clinical students. Currently they have 2,600 pre-clinical students and they only choose 80 for the daytime and 40 for the evening , and out of these 120 that are chosen, 15 slots are set aside for 1199 (8) slots in the morning and (7) in the evening or vice-versa, I can't remember. So that lowers the numbers of slots. I am taking 3 of my pre-requisites at once, because I was advised incorrectly , should I have known better I would have only taken 2 of my PCI classes at once. Oh well no use crying over that now. All I can tell you is really, really concentrate on those 4 PCI classes. Those are the ones that they look at , you have to also maintain a high GPA on your overall because if you are in a tie with your GPA with someone else, your overall would break the tie. I hope I haven't confused you:stone Good Luck !!!
