Our medication exam consisted of drug calculations, IV drip rates, etc. It wasn't as much about the actual meds (we had a drug handbook to use) as it was the ability to calculate numbers of milligrams or milliliters, safe dosage limits, etc. We had two tries to pass, and those who don't will have to work with their preceptors until they do.
Good luck!

I had to take one at a hospital but it was open book (they supplied a drug book). You should find out if yours is. It was a long test and I was glad it was open book becasue there were plenty of meds I have never studied on it. Plus calculations. Even open book most people missed around 4-5.

Call the nursing department and ask if they will provide a study guide and/or a list of drugs. I've always been provided with these materials prior to taking an employment medication test.
