Hi Everyone,
I am a re-entering the nursing profession after an 11 year hiatus and am at a loss as to how to even start writing my resume. I am a foreign trained nurse and just got my CA license. Do I mention on my resume that I am a re-entry or should that go in my cover letter? Do I talk about "raising" my 3 kids as relevant experience?
Ahh, help...
Thanks.

I am not sure of the practice at present, but if me, I would put dates of employment.. it will be obvious from the lack of dates between that 11 years that you were not employed as a nurse. Make sure any current learning is included i.e. refresher courses, CPR, ACLS etc. I would simply state you are a re-entry nurse in the cover letter then other explanations can be in the interview.
