RCBC nursing spring 2019

Published

Hi everyone. Rowan College at Burlington County's nursing spring 2019 application just opened on May 1, and the deadline is July 31.

I have everything completed, except anatomy 2 which I plan to take either this summer or this fall. (Preferably this fall)

From what I've read in these posts is that they've seem to just be accepting applicants with all their pre-reqs completely finished.

As for me, I still have anatomy 2 to take. Should I still apply for the spring 2019 semester, or wait for the next application cycle? Thanks in advance.

Hi, cookiesnmilk,

I would tell you to apply why not? Its free so you won't lose anything and I also heard you have to have completed all prereqs but you never know. I applied for the Fall 2019 even though I hadn't yet completed all my courses and I am still working on completing them currently. I am taking my last course "Nutrition" with RCBC and i have already applied for the spring 2019 as well. Waiting for a reply on September the 15th.

I was in the exact same boat with one class left and they didn't accept me last spring with a 4.0 gpa, however I took it during the spring and I was accepted for this coming fall. Apparently there is a ton of applicants and it's super competitive. Who knows though maybe it will work out differently for you. Best of luck

Thank you both for the informative replies and for reaching out. I appreciate it so much! I ended up applying, so we'll see if I hopefully get in. If not, when I'm finished with anatomy 2 this fall I plan to reapply. Thanks again!

HI,

I applied to RCBC's 2019 Nursing Program as well. I am a transfer student for Fall2018. I was accepted into Widener's School of Nursing Accelerated Program to start tomorrow, August 27th, 2018. I had to withdraw due the financial debt I will accrue before and after graduation.

I had Nutrition in fall of 2016 at another college, but I was told by the staff at RCBC that it does not count because their revised requirement for Nutrition has to be taught by a Registered Dietician. I also have to take Philosophy 101 because I had PHI 104 (Ethics). If I am not accepted for Spring 2019, then I'll apply for Fall 2019 when my fall classes are complete.

Good luck!

Hi! Thanks for letting us know! Also, I am so sorry about your situation with Widener.

I took nutrition at Camden county college with a registered dietician, I took a philosophy class at Camden county college as well but it was biomedical ethics.

I am in the same boat as you! I am planning to reapply if I am not accepted as well. Good luck to you too!

Well, 6 days until everyone gets an email for either being accepted into the program or not. Wishing everyone luck!! Last time I got a letter exactly on the day saying that I was not accepted. I only had one class missing :( September 15 here we come

Thanks for your response! Wishing everyone luck as well. I was already warned that I may not be accepted since I have everything complete except for A&P II but I honestly just applied to take a wack at it haha. But oh no! What class were you missing? And yep, 3 more days until September 15!

Good luck to everyone. I am retaking Nutrition because it wasn't taught by an R.D. and I have PHI 101 as well. By the time the program starts, I'll be finished with those 2 classes because I am enrolled in them now at RCBC. But if not, I'll apply again for next fall. Good luck!

There not going to give us an answer untill late September (whatever that means) they just changed it in the website.

@tbone1975, RCGC's application to their RN program is due March 1st! They have less requirements also so that could be a backup of yours.
