Anyone attending (or graduated from) Rasmussen RN program? I'm thinking about enrolling soon in Tampa, FL and have done a ton of research but student reviews would be really helpful! Any pro's and/or con's?

Spendy. Not all of them, if any,are accredited.

An unaccredited, pricey program, that will leave you with lots of debt and no job. Stay far away from for profit colleges.
The Tampa campus is regionally accredited by the higher learning commission and the Florida board of nursing but not nationally accredited... Do you know what difference that makes? I know program completion leaves you eligible to take the NCLEX and they have fairly high passing rates. Is accreditation only important if I intend to continue my education (I.e RN to BSN) or could it affect my job prospects even if I pass the NCLEX?

It can affect future job prospects. Many hospitals/nursing homes/ect will only let you work for them if the school you attended was state AND nationally accredited. It also could impact you if you decide to further your education.
Thanks for responding! A little background about me (long story short), I started nursing pre reqs right out of highschool and had a 4.0 until an unfortunate string of personal issues caused my grades to slip. I kept trying to get back on track but it was too difficult and I failed multiple classes. Eventually, after some time off I went back and re took every thing and got my AA. All of the universities and colleges in my area (relocation isn't an option right now) rely solely on numbers for admittance (overall GPA, pre req GPA, and teas scores) my teas is competitive but my gpa is not and I've been wait listed everywhere for the past two years. It's very frustrating. I'm so sick of waiting around to start my career. That's why i ve started exploring for-profit schools.
The campus I am looking at is regionally accredited buy not nationally. I've done a ton of research and, to be honest, still dont fully understand the significance of each. I keep getting mixed messages on which accreditions are most important. I do know that the program qualifies you to sit for the NCLEX, so how would the accreditation affect me job wise? I'm certain HR takes schools in to account during the hiring process but I know many people who have graduated from trade schools (not this specific program but similar) and have gotten good jobs.
As far as debt is concerned, between financial aid and money I have saved to pay out of pocket I'll need to barrow less than $10,000 overall, which is still alot but not unreasonable in terms of being able to pay back.
Basically, I'm feeling pretty defeated. I just want to be a nurse. If you wouldn't mind elaborating on your first post or have any suggestions for me, I'd be super greatful!
