Hello,
I am thinking about attending Rasmussen College in Bloomington, MN. Has anyone gone through the RN program? I have been hearing bad reviews and was wondering if anyone knows anything about the nursing program.

I personally have not been through any of their nursing programs (I have attended one of their nursing sessions). They make it sound the best school in the world, but I have heard a lot of bad things about it as well. Being that its a private school, it's probably overly priced. When I went to their information session I noticed it was a lot of older people who were either returning to get their nursing degree, or were sick of going through all the requirements needed to get into other nursing schools that they weren't getting accepted at.
One thing I noticed is that ever since the day I called and asked some questions about their program, they have hounded me to apply to their school ever since. I still get calls, texts, and emails from them every few weeks. I would be a bit cautious when a school HOUNDS you to get into their program, not the other way around.

Yep, that sounds like Rasmussen. They hound you a lot. They are much more expensive. They employ their own financial people to assist you in getting student loans etc. You will get your RN if you can pay. And yes, there are no waiting lists, and they have less prerequisites. You can test out of some, like Medical Terminology.
