Hey guys!! I created this thread to keep each other up to date for those who are applying to the RCNJ 16 month accelerated nursing program this year!

Just curious Do you know how some students have May start terms and how some have Fall or Summer terms that begin in August? Is it only the Bridge students that begin in May?

End of May start is the ABSN portion only (it runs Summer/ Fall/ Spring/ Summer). I believe the Bridge program starts in the Fall, but I'm not 100% sure. I only had to take one last pre-requisite at Ramapo. Fall semester starts at th3 end of August.

Bridge student take their pre reqs Fall and Spring and then do nursing classes that Summer after pre reqs are completed.

If you get accepted directly into the ASBN 2025 Program your classes start at the end of May and run till end of August 2026

If you got accepted as a BRIDGE student for the ASBN program you start Fall / Spring depending on how many pre reqs you have to take. And then start the nursing classes that Summer after Spring class so May of 2026

Curious what is the earliest or latest some people got admission into the program as a Bridge student? I imagine Bridge students get later admission letters due to the Fall or Spring program starts.

Seriously considering retaking courses and improve some grades over Summer/Fall to possibly better my chances when I apply. Has anyone been able to retake courses and be able to be accepted so far

Hi everyone,

I'm very interested in applying to the Accelerated BSN (ABSN) program at Ramapo College of New Jersey. I already have a bachelor's degree in a non-nursing field, but I haven't completed any of the required prerequisite courses yet.

I'm a bit confused about what would be the best path for me:
Should I start taking the prerequisites now (possibly at a community college), or is there a Bridge program I should consider instead?

Also, does anyone know if it's still possible to apply for the upcoming cohort, or has the application deadline already passed?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi. I would say Bridge vs community college is just personal preference. You can find the Bridge curriculum online. You would have more flexibility at a community college to complete them at your own pace and the classes would be more affordable, however you have to read the requirements carefully and make sure you are taking the right courses (for example labs must be in person). Also Bridge starts only once a year but you can start your prerequisites elsewhere at any time. Online it says the deadline closed February 1 for 2025.

Good luck!
