Ramapo College of New Jersey - Accelerated BSN (ABSN) Program

Updated:   Published

Hey guys!! I created this thread to keep each other up to date for those who are applying to the RCNJ 16 month accelerated nursing program this year!

Has anyone heard if clinicals will be 8 hours or 12 hours? Most other schools said 8, but I don't know about Ramapo. TESU is the only nearby school that said 12. Thx!

I'm not sure we haven't gotten any details on classes/clinical so far.

Does anyone know if we need to get the covid vaccine for this program?

Hey guys, I got accepted into the BRIDGE- ASBN program starting nursing 16-month accelerated May of 2025.

I went to the open house and spoke with the nursing program director. Pre-req courses will be taken during the Fall of 2024 and Spring of 2025. TEAS exam if not yet taken must be completed before the May start date.

For the BRIDGE program. Classes are pre-selected by advisors. The evening after 4pm and weekend classes are available and they are trying to keep all the bridge students together in one class/cohort. You can try to get into another class if schedule doesn't work. I managed to change my lab class from Saturday to a Monday.

If anyone has started a "bridge program chat" id love to join. Thanks and congrats and good luck to everyone !

Can I also join, I am trying to apply to get accepted into that cohort as well! Waiting for them to accept my transcripts and then review my application. Sooo nervous

I didn't know there was an open house😄, but that may have been for formal Bridge students. I have 1 prerequisite left. We'll be in the same classes! I started a thread for Bridge students and others like me accepted for ABSN 2025:

Hi! For those of you that started the 16 month ABSN in May 2024, has the tuition been billed approximately the same for each semester so far (understanding fees will vary)? I'm assuming that's the case because each semester has the same amount of credits planned. Thank you!

Did anyone who's applied directly to the ABSN program have any math or science general courses that were a C or C- and were accepted?

Hi all! I am going to be applying for the May 2026 cohort for the ramapo absn program. I wanted to see if those of you who have already started going through the program can give some insight on how it is!

Those of us starting this May had an information session with current students and they felt the program was very manageable if you are organized and stay on top of studying. I'm optimistic about it! 🙂

Oh that's good to hear! Do you also know if financial aid is available for this program by any chance?

Just curious Do you know how some students have May start terms and how some have Fall or Summer terms that begin in August? Is it only the Bridge students that begin in May?

I submit to FAFSA and I'm supplementing with federal student loans. I'm not clear if that applies to all. Like is there a lifetime limit since a lot of us have a first bachelors? I already have a bachelor's degree and I qualified to recieve unsubsidized federal loans.
