Rady Children's New Grad RN Residency Spring 2019

Published

I am starting a thread for those who are applying for the RN new grad program at Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego starting in Spring 2019 so we can update each other about whats going on! Good luck to everyone!

Anyone hear anything?

I havent heard anything yet. I answered the follow up questions 2 weeks ago today.

The next step is that they will usually call for interviews!

Hey everyone! I applied to the NICU and submitted my follow up application questions on 11/13. It's my second time applying. The first time I applied to 2 units (although they offered us the option to apply to our top 3), and I was interviewed by my second choice (surgical) but did not get the job. This time we only applied to one unit, and I think that is actually beneficial for us! I'm nervous this time around but really hoping to hear from the NICU. Please update me if you've heard from them! I'll keep you guys updated too- I know I'm not the only one feeling stressed during this long waiting period. Hopeful we all end up where we are meant to be :) We're all in this together (trying not to sing high school musical when I write that)

We're alllll in this together, and it shows, when we stand hand in hand, make our dreams come trueeee haha how long did it take the last time you applied for them to call you for an interview?

I love that this is turning into a high school musical sing along.

The wait is torture! But it doesn't sound like they've called yet for interviews so I'm holding out hope

hahah thank you for that!

Last time, I applied August 14, received the info for the rest of the application 2 days later, before the application period even closed. Sent it in the same day or following day, by August 17. I got my phone call for an interview on August 30th. Interviewed September 10th, which was the first day of their first week interviewing, so I didn't find out I wasn't accepted until October 12th (I only knew I wasn't accepted because after a follow up email, they said I'd know if I was accepted by sometime that week). The cohort started Oct 22. So people literally found out they were starting a job there only 10 days before their first day!

Has anyone reached out to HR to see where they were at in the process? They told me that the departments would reach out around 3 weeks from when we sent in the second part of the application!

I tried calling yesterday and got a voicemail both times! I left a message but they have yet to call back.

Has anyone heard anything?

no, nothing yet
