Rady Children’s San Diego New Grad Fall 2021

Hello,

I haven’t seen a forum for the October 2021 cohort for Rady Children’s RN new grad program. Has anyone received an invite for the skills survey post-interview and does anyone know when references have to submit their surveys by? Thank you!

Hi, im not too sure. She had left me a voicemail saying she wanted to get a hold of me by today but when I called back it sounded like they were still working on offers. Best of luck to you!

I also received an offer for the Medical Unit! I am so excited to meet you all. Is anyone looking for a roommate? I will be relocating from Ventura to the San Diego area.

Hi everyone! 

I submitted my application in late August, but haven't seen any updates on my application status, it just reads "submitted". I applied to the surgical track. Does anyone know if there is a contact I can reach out to? I'm getting antsy as I've applied to several residencies and haven't received updates on any. New grad residencies have been tough to come by in my experience.

I’m not relocating, but you might have some luck on any of the new grad forums on facebook, I see people post for roommates on there a lot ? good luck!

sorry to hear that, even after I received an offer my application just says submitted, so I don’t think they update it very much. The best thing I can think to do is call HR and ask personally about your profile? And As far as contact info the contacts given to me were specific to the medical unit. I hope you get some answers, hang in there and Best of luck to you! ?

Hi there, for those that are saying they interviewed in August and/or received offers this Sept, when did you apply? I have refreshed the page for the new grad RN residency program every day in August and I signed up for a job alert in July but I never saw an update about the program accepting applications. I'll be so disappointed if I missed the application period.

Hi there, I’m sorry to hear that, I believe apps opened up around the 18th of august ? I submitted mine on the 20th and got an interview on sept 1st. I had also signed up for the alerts and never received anything. I follow a lot of new grad groups on facebook and someone happened to post that applications were opening up so I was able to find it under job opportunities. I’m not sure when the next cohort is but I would definitely join some of those pages or search new grad openings when it gets closer to another application period. Good luck !

There’s also a helpful Instagram page called “rnnewgrads” that frequently posts openings, in addition to the facebook new grad groups

Thank you for your reply. I never checked the job boards. So frustrating that they didn't update their webpage OR send a working job alert. If you don't mind, what specific new grad pages did you join? I would like to join one that focuses on California new grads, since that's where my license is. I'm new to this website as well so I'm not familiar with the rules, but if you can/want to you can also PM me the information.

Congrats to everyone who got offers!! ? looking to apply this next cycle for Rady's and would love to pick your brains! Can anyone who received an interview/offer share their stats? Preceptorship info, experience info, etc.? TIA!
