hello fellow nurses,i'm a male nurse, currently working in neonatal intensive care unit in the capital city of the northern mariana islands, usa. i've been working here for more than 3 years now and basically got my nicu training here in a u.s. standard settings,100-bed medicare certified government hospital. i'm an nclex-rn passer, holding licenses both for the n. mariana and state of florida. i finished my bsn in the philippines.5 months ago i decided to apply for a job in australia and eventually registered for rn license in nurses board of victoria. i submitted all the neccesary requirements including a work statement certifying that i've work in an english speaking country not less than 12 months. as mentioned in the nbv's application form, this will waive the ielts requirement. but just recently, my agent in melbourne told me that nbv might require me to undergo a pre-registration program.does anyone know about this pre-reg. program? i know that i finished my bsn in the philippines but i was trained and already worked in a us setting. is it still necessary for me to undergo such program despite my standardized trainings in the northern mariana islands, usa?

finally, i would also like ask if anyone knows how long will it take for nbv to approve registration?thanks!saipanrn
